Hepatitis Service

The Viral Hepatitis Service is now part of the Communicable Disease Service.

The Viral Hepatitis Service provides a high quality patient centred service for people diagnosed with viral hepatitis. The service offers a dedicated approach to viral hepatitis giving advice, support and treatment to people who have been diagnosed with hepatitis and their families.

The team provides a multidisciplinary approach with other professionals in the areas of:

• Prevention - Acute disease management, contact tracing and immunisation
• Awareness - Testing, education, health promotion
• Support and advice

How to access the service

The team operates a self-referral or clinical referral and consists of specialist nurses and an administrator working across the patch.
