9th August 2022Hello everyone, and welcome to my latest blog. What a way to start the week - with the news that we have been shortlisted for no fewer than SIX HSJ awards! Yes SIX! And that is in addition to the eight HSJ Patient Safety awards and seven Nursing Times shortlistings announced a few weeks ago. I have also heard today that we have been shortlisted for a Patient Experience National Award, and a National Service User Award – that is amazing.

27th June 2022Hello everyone and welcome to my latest blog! I am pleased to tell you about some really good developments from last week. Firstly, I can now confirm that I have been appointed as a member of the newly established Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB). Like all new ICB Board members, I had to complete an application and interview process for this place on the Board to represent the interests of mental health care service users as well as providers.

31st May 2022Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. I’ve a lot to tell you about. Last week, the Trust was focused on ‘Break the Cycle’ – an initiative where all services worked together to ‘reset’ our position in advance on the forthcoming, long bank holiday. It began for me with the opportunity to meet with Richard Meddings CBE, Chair of NHS England who was in Lancashire and South Cumbria on a visit arranged by the ICS. It was good to be part of the delegation and get the opportunity to talk to Richard about our journey, the ongoing improvements and the continuing rise in demand for our services.

4th May 2022Every month we host an ‘Engage’ event where around 200 of our leaders from across the Trust come together to share good practise and key messages. Last week our event focused on health inequalities.
