The new clinic, located at St Peter’s Centre in Burnley, allows parents to drop-in between 10am and 12pm every Saturday to see the Health Visitors. The team will be able to weigh a baby and provide advice on feeding and sleeping, skin problems, dental health and baby development amongst other things.
Cheryl Forrest, Service Integration Manager who oversees Health Visiting at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:
“We are happy to announce the new Saturday morning clinic based in Burnley for families from across Lancashire. There is no need to book an appointment, just turn up within the opening times, and our Health Visitors will be able to provide friendly support and advice and answer any queries parents may have regarding their baby.
“The Health Visiting Team is committed to providing an excellent service with the health and wellbeing of the families we serve at the heart of what we do. We hope this extra clinic will provide additional support and flexibility to meet the needs of parents during their baby’s early development years.”
