Staff and service users from the Early Intervention Service along with Chief Executive Heather Tierney-Moore took part recently in the making of a five minute film on long term conditions.
The footage was shown in April at the Managing Long Term Conditions 2009 conference in Harrogate. Early intervention activity groups were also filmed, including the walking and football groups.
Jeff Warburton, Deputy Network Director for CAMHS, EIS and SMS, said: “The film highlights the approach taken by the Early Intervention Service in managing long term mental health conditions. It challenges the traditional negative view that people with schizophrenia and psychosis only have a limited hope for meaningful recovery.”
