Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is calling on people to get involved and become a member. The Trust, which provides a range of services including specialist inpatient and community mental health services to physiotherapy, podiatry and community services across Lancashire, is encouraging the public to sign up and join as a member to gain feedback about services in order to improve them. You don’t need to live in Lancashire to become a member, the Trust looks for views across the whole of the North West and being a Trust member provides an opportunity to be heard, be informed, be elected and much more. Public membership is a vital part of being a Foundation Trust in order to remain accountable to the communities of Lancashire that use the services.
Diane Halsey, Director of Governance and Compliance at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust explains:
"As a Trust it is really important to us that we hear about experiences of our services and how we can improve for the future. It is so essential to have members that represent all the different services we provide, to ensure we can gain a clear idea of how effective our services are.
"As a foundation trust member you will be encouraged to share your views with us and get involved with the Trust through a variety of channels. We also keep in touch with our members, invite them to a number of events and keep them informed and up to date with the latest news of services in their area."
