Lancashire Care appoints new member to its Trust Board

Isla Wilson will begin working with the Trust in October before officially starting her role in the New Year. In her role as Non- Executive Director Isla will work to ensure that the Trust is meeting its objectives to deliver high quality services. Her experience working in a range of roles in the private and non-profit sectors will enable her to provide an objective view and independent advice to the rest of the Trust Board on important on aspects of the business including the strategy, performance and service provision.

Speaking of Isla’s appointment Derek Brown, Chair at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:

“We are delighted to welcome Isla to the Trust Board and really look forward to the expertise and experience that Isla brings to the table. At a time when the NHS is facing some real challenges it’s important that we have a diverse range of views in order to make well made decisions and we’re really looking forward to hearing Isla’s perspective over the coming months. 

“Our primary aim as an organisation is to ensure that we provide well led, high quality services to the people we serve and Isla’s experience of working alongside NHS organisations to shape health services in the past will be a real asset.”

Isla has a wealth of experience in the private sector and has undertaken a number of leadership roles in charity and community based organisations. Isla has also previously chaired the Mid Cheshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s Patient and Public Involvement Forum and has a track record of building partnerships to support effective working between organisations.
