8 Members of the public across Lancashire have been appointed to represent their local area at health and wellbeing provider Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Three residents from Central Lancashire have been successfully elected as Governors and will be the point of contact for local people wishing to raise areas for discussion or concern in relation to the Trust. The Governors will work to keep the public informed about any new developments at the Trust and report back with public views and opinions.
Chief Executive Heather Tierney- Moore at Lancashire Care, said:
"As a Foundation Trust we have public members and it"s really important that they know who the Governors are for their area as they act as a direct channel for communication into the Trust.
We really value the Council of Governors at the Trust as each and every governor plays a crucial part in representing the local people that we serve."
The Trust held elections for eleven new Governors in total consisting of nine Public Governors and two Staff Governors. Ten of these positions have now been filled and the eleventh has been carried over into next year.
