Over 300 members of staff from Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust came together at the 7th annual Staff Awards ceremony on 24 March 2016 to celebrate the past year"s successes.
The event was attended by members of staff from across the Trust and provided an opportunity to cheer on their colleagues who had been nominated for one of the 10 categories. For the third year running, the awards also saw the return of the People"s Choice Award which was nominated and voted for by members of the public.
Heather Tierney-Moore, Chief Executive at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:
"We have seen the awards grow in popularity over the last few years and this year was no exception. It was a great evening with lots of fun had by everyone who attended. Our staff are extremely dedicated to providing high quality care to all our service users and their families and carers, and the awards provide an opportunity to celebrate their achievements. As always, the standard of nominations was very high and it proved to be a difficult task shortlisting in each of the categories. Everyone who was nominated should be very proud of their work and those who received an award this year are fine examples of just some of our staff who go above and beyond in their roles."
Derek Brown, Trust Chair added:
"It was a wonderful evening and you could see how proud people were of their colleagues as we heard the stories of each of the shortlisted nominees. The fact the awards are growing in popularity each year is a testament to our staff who provide such great work across the Trust footprint and I"m delighted we are able to offer such an event to honour the quality work that takes place on a daily basis."
Winners were awarded with a trophy and there was also recognition for colleagues who just missed out on a winning spot but who still deserved a special mention.
The evening was held at the De Vere Hotel, Blackpool and was sponsored by Corporate Design Company Ltd, Concept 4, Ernst and Young, Healthcare at Home, Ryhurst Limited and Vinci Construction UK.
