People across Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston are being encouraged to help influence health and social care services for the future, as plans begin to take shape.
Our Health Our Care is a partnership between all the local health and social care organisations to change and adapt services in order to improve the health and wellbeing of residents living in Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston.
A series of public events were held in November, when health and care partners spoke to people to find out what was important to them, and what their experiences of healthcare were. The Our Health Our Care programme is now entering the next phase of planning and, once again, wants to hear from local residents. The sessions are as follows:
- Wednesday 14 December, 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Chorley Town Hall
- Thursday 15 December, 2–4pm Gujarat Centre, Preston, and 6-8pm Lecture Room 1, Education Centre 1, Royal Preston Hospital
- Monday 19 December, 2-4pm and 6-8pm, South Ribble Borough Council Civic Centre
Jan Ledward, Chief Officer of NHS Chorley and South Ribble Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS Greater Preston CCG said: "As the Our Health Our Care programme begins to take shape, it is important to make sure that everyone who has an interest in health and social care has the opportunity to share their ideas and views.
"The Our Health Our Care programme is committed to delivering improvement in the way health care services meet the needs and the expectations of local residents, and we can't do this without patient input at every stage of the journey."
