Lancashire Care’s Contraception and Sexual Health Service (CaSH) in partnership with Brook, the young people’s charity, is opening a new and fully refurbished sexual health clinic for under 25s in Lancaster next week.
People under the age of 25 will now be able to see health specialists at the clinic who will provide comprehensive contraceptive services, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections including HIV testing, and advice and information all in a single appointment.
Looking after your sexual health is an important part of general health and wellbeing, and CaSH encourages everyone under the age of 25 to take responsibility for their sexual health. A combination of appointment-based clinics and walk-ins are available at Waterview Clinic. The first session will be held on Wednesday 24 May.
Sue Capstick, Lancashire under 25s Sexual Health Service Lead, said: “I am delighted to announce the opening of Waterview clinic in Lancaster, the clinic has been designed to the highest standards and provides a welcoming and friendly environment for under 25s. Lancaster is one of the few cities that has never had a dedicated under 25s sexual health hub and as a service we are proud to open the doors of this new facility for under 25s in the area.”
