Opportunity for a local business

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a local organisation who would like to be a part of this state of the art development. The Trust is keen to hear from organisations or groups that are currently involved with people who have experience of mental health issues. The Trust is providing a space within the new inpatient unit which will enable an organisation to provide hot and cold refreshments to the local community. The café will be based on the ground floor of the building and will also be open to members of the public.

Alistair Rose, Project Director at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:

“This is a really exciting opportunity for an organisation to generate income whilst providing an integral service from The Harbour. The café provision will enable someone to have a positive impact and give something back to the local community in a brand new state of the art setting.

“It’s been fantastic to see so many people get involved with the development so far and we are really keen to continue to work with our partners and members of the public to make The Harbour as successful as possible.

"The new inpatient facility is due for completion late 2014 and will become operational by Spring 2015.”

The information you provide should include details of your organisation and why you think you are best placed to provide this facility. Interested parties will be invited to a drop in session in April where they will have the opportunity to find out further details.

The Harbour development is part of the Trust’s on-going commitment to modernising inpatient services and improving the quality of care it delivers. The new unit will achieve a more therapeutic environment for the people who use the service and better working conditions for staff.
