People living in Lancashire have one week left to nominate health professionals who have made a difference to their healthcare experience and nominate them Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s ‘Amazing Care Award’.
The Amazing Care Award is now in its second year and allows members of the public and Trust members to nominate a team, individual or service who they feel should be recognised for providing amazing care. It is often the little things that can make a big different to patients and their families and nominations should include examples of where this has been the case. We are looking for nominations that are an inspiration to others, demonstrate commitment and determination and always go that extra mile!
The Trust holds an annual staff awards ceremony to celebrate the success of its members of staff. As part of ceremony the Trust is reaching out to local residents for nominations for this year’s Amazing Care Award. The winner of the award will be announced on 22 March 2019 at the awards ceremony at The Village Hotel in Blackpool.
Paul Lumsdon, Interim Director of Nursing and Quality at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:
“The Amazing Care Award is really special, in the fact that it is the only award of which the winner is chosen by the people in Lancashire. We believe that it is important for the people who receive our care to be given an opportunity to acknowledge the great work that is going on across Lancashire and to be able to be a part of our evening by nominating someone who has gone the extra mile.
“We know that there are lots of staff out there who are delivering kind and compassionate care and we hope that people across the county will spare five minutes of their time to submit a nomination for an individual or team that has truly made a difference to their lives.”
