In my educational role within Lancashire care we are developing our objectives within 3 key areas:
‘Recruitment and Retention’ which includes a number of initiatives and a focus on the quality of our training posts.
‘Wellbeing’ which includes a work around the BMA documents ‘Fatigue and Facilities’ and the RCPsych document ‘Supported and Valued’
‘Team Engagement/profile’ which includes work to develop our medical education team, our profile and engagement with our internal and external stakeholders.
Interests/hobbies or anything interesting you have done outside of work!
I love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit every Continent, including Antarctica. I also have a passion for Vinyl records and proper coffee. Additionally I am a season ticket holder at Liverpool FC.
One thing I’m most proud of in work
The one thing I am most proud of is watching a various doctors grow and develop whilst with us on placement. This has a positive impact on the team and on patient care.
The best things about LSCFT / your job
Having the opportunity to progress and get involved in medical education were big parts of my decision to develop my career in Lancashire Care and having recently been appointed as the Director of Medical Education, this has definitely been the right decision for me.
