The Trust’s high performance in achieving excellent research set up times and meeting research recruitment targets means we continue to be asked to participate in high quality national research projects and industry studies.
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR) are delighted to announce the opening of their joint Clinical Research Facility on the Royal Preston Hospital site. Over two years in the planning, the 5 bedded Lancashire Clinical Research Facility saw its first patient on the 11th April 2016.
The Lancashire Clinical Research Facility is a joint venture between LTHTR, LSCFT and Lancaster University with an aim to provide more opportunities for the residents of Lancashire & Cumbria to participate in high quality clinical research. The clinical staff of both NHS Trusts have worked together to create aims & goals for the new facility and hope to bring together their expertise to raise standards in care and research delivery.
