    Speech and Language Therapy as a Career – Information Sessions

    We hold termly “Speech and Language Therapy as a Career” information sessions for prospective students living within the local area.  Once you have signed up you will be sent an information pack and a date for the next question and answer session with a Speech and Language Therapist. These sessions are currently being held virtually.

    For those applying for a qualifying course in the immediate future there will be the opportunity to discuss the possibility of shadowing opportunities in the local area.

    The RCSLT is the professional body for Speech and Language Therapists in the UK, providing leadership and setting professional standards.  It facilitates and promotes research into the field of Speech and Language Therapy, promotes better education and training of Speech and Language Therapists and provides information for our members and the public about Speech and Language Therapy.

    The HCPC keeps a register of health and care professionals who meet their standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health. This means all Speech and Language Therapists are on this register and must meet all the professional standards. No one is allowed to call themselves a Speech and Language Therapist unless they are registered with HCPC
