UK Weather Guide

The weather is unpredictable as with the rest of the UK and it is possible to see elements of all four seasons in one day. The UK uses degrees celsius. 

January – this is the coldest month in the UK when the winter season is well underway. Throughout the month the average temperature remains constant at 5 to 6 degrees.

February – is a very cold month with temperatures of around 5 to 6 degrees which will slowly rise as the month progresses. Daily highs start off at around 7 degrees and rise until they reach 10 degrees.

March – the weather gradually improves and the spring season starts to get underway. The average temperature is 7 to 8 degrees which increases throughout the month.

April – the average temperature is 7.5 degrees and we can see highs of 12 degrees during the day and lows of 3 degrees at night at the beginning of the month. This increases over the month.

May – the weather in May is pleasant as it is mild and the flowers are blooming. The average temperature is 13 degrees which is considerably warmer than the earlier months.

June – the weather in June is steadily getting warmer throughout the month. The average temperature is 16 degrees.

July – this is one of the hottest months with average temperatures at 18 degrees which hardly changes as the month progresses.

August – the average temperature this month is 23 degrees and we have highs of 27 degrees during the day and lows of 19 degrees at night.

September – the weather starts to cool down this month as the autumn season sets in. Temperature averages are 16 degrees and as the month progresses the temperatures decrease.

October – autumn is well and truly underway and the weather is cool. Temperatures are at 12 degrees and continue to dip throughout the month.

November – autumn starts to turn into winter and temperatures are constantly falling. Temperatures start at 13 degrees and fall to 10 degrees by the end of the month.

December – temperatures this month see highs of 7 degrees and lows of 2 degrees as the month progresses and we fall back into January.
