Community Occupational Therapy Service (Aids and Adaptations)
A member of the Occupational Therapy Team will provide a holistic assessment of need in relation to everyday activities of daily living. The aim of the service is to enable or promote optimal independence within the home environment and to support carers to manage their role safely.
Following assessment recommendations may be made for the following:
- Specialist or bespoke equipment
- Specific adaptations to the home environment
- Advice on alternative ways of doing everyday activities
- Referral onto other specialist services
Where this service is provided
We provide assessments in service users' own homes. We cover Preston, South Ribble, Chorley and West Lancashire.
