Important Notice

As you are aware the community Pain/CFS service has stepped down and our staff have been redeployed, to support vital services working with those recovering from Covid-19.

Although we are unable to confirm when we will be able to offer you an appointment, we would like to inform you that we are in the process of working towards resuming our service. We are developing processes to ensure that when the service does resume, we are able to practice safety, which we hope will be reassuring for you too. This includes the development of several online resources that we intend to have ready for you to access soon.

Please view this short video for more information.

Welcome to the Central Lancashire Moving Well Service!

The service seeks to work collaboratively with patients to improve outcomes and quality of life for people who have problems with their muscles or joints causing pain. The service consists of multiple specialists working together with people to help prevent chronic pain and also to help people live well despite chronic pain.

Services are provided from a number of locations across Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston, making appointments more convenient for patients. Patients are offered a choice of location at the time of making an appointment.

This service is available for people who are registered with a GP Practice in Greater Preston, Chorley or South Ribble.

We want to know what’s important to you….

The CLMW team are interested to know what’s important to you in your life and want you to be involved in your healthcare decisions. We recognise that you are the expert of your own life and we are interested in your goals and best hopes for your treatment.

We want to encourage you to ask us questions and therefore make informed choices about your healthcare. During your appointments with us we will invite you to think about this.

We would like to invite you to think about these three questions with regards to your healthcare decisions:

  1. What are my options?
  2. What are the pros and cons of each option for me?
  3. How do I get support to help me make a decision that’s right for me?
