We are a multi-disciplinary team of pain and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) specialists, who work with you to make sense of your condition and provide you with strategies to help improve your quality of life, placing you at the centre of your care.

Please note: this service is only available to people living in Chorley, South Ribble or Greater Preston.

The service consists of multiple specialists working together with people to help prevent chronic pain and also to help people live well despite chronic pain.

Services are provided from a number of locations across Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston, making appointments more convenient for patients. Patients are offered a choice of location at the time of making an appointment.

This service is available for people who are registered with a GP Practice in Greater Preston, Chorley or South Ribble.

When we receive your referral from your GP, a member of our team will assess whether you need to be seen face to face in one of our Preston or Chorley clinics or whether you need a video or telephone appointment.

We want to know what's important to you

The team are interested to know what's important to you in your life and want you to be involved in your healthcare decisions. We recognise that you are the expert of your own life and we are interested in your goals and best hopes for your treatment.

We want to encourage you to ask us questions and therefore make informed choices about your healthcare.

We would like to invite you to think about these three questions with regards to your healthcare decisions:

  1. What are my options?
  2. What are the pros and cons of each option for me?
  3. How do I get support to help me make a decision that's right for me?

The Moving Well Service provides joined up care and treatment for patients through different services across the Trust (see more in this section).
