Our Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Dush Mahadevan, has been elected to the post of Executive Committee Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Child and Adolescent Faculty.
This was a competitive election and Dush received support from colleagues at the Trust and across the North West. He will hold the post for four years.
Dush said:
“I decided to stand to improve North West representation on the Committee, and I feel I can make a meaningful contribution to its work at this stage of my career. I have worked with the Faculty in recent years on primary care integration, and more recently on medical leadership, and enjoyed the experience. Having trained in the North West, and then practised as a consultant in Lancashire over the last decade, it will be a privilege to represent colleagues, and children and young people, in the area.”
Congratulations, Dush!
Here at LSCft, we are passionate about the development of our medical colleagues and leadership opportunities are encouraged both internally and at a national level. You can find out more in the video below.
