A lifesaving off duty doctor, community mental health teams and a brain injury specialist were among hundreds of people working for the Trust who came together for a starry afternoon of celebration to recognise their achievements.

Staff including doctors, nurses, clerical support, corporate and non-clinical, who help to deliver mental and physical health services, gathered at The Dukes theatre in Lancaster for our annual Time to Shine Awards.

Fronted by dynamic duo BBC Radio Lancashire breakfast show presenter Graham Liver and our Interim CEO Chris Olivier, the ceremony which is in its second year, honoured those who have gone above and beyond in their roles, across 12 categories, following over 300 entries submitted by individuals nominating their colleagues as award worthy.

Judging panels included 18 staff at all levels of the Trust, service users, carers and governors, who each helped to whittle down the number of entries, with the final votes taken by the Executive Team.

Attendees were treated to a performance and even joined in with Dance Syndrome, an award winning inclusive dance charity whose focus is including everyone, regardless of ability and met with special guest, Minnie, one of the Trust’s pet therapy dogs.

Service user artwork was also on display and local magician Darren Robinson wowed guests with mind bending magic.

Interim CEO at LSCft, Chris Oliver, said:

“Entries for the awards are always impressive and this year is no exception.

I am humbled and amazed at the fabulous work our teams and individuals do to deliver high quality care and support our patients, families, carers and communities.

It’s right that we recognise their work and say ‘thank you’.

These awards reflect how our teams and individuals are working together, as a team, constantly striving to excel in everything we do.

Congratulations to all our award winners, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone across the LSCft family.”
