We are celebrating after being recognised for best practice at the Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards.

We won the Quality Improvement Award for our Pathways Enhanced Resettlement Service (PERS), which helps offenders with personality difficulties transition from closed to open conditions, and from open conditions, ultimately to life in the community.

Additionally, our Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (REVIVE IIRMS), which is based in the community, was highly commended in the Forensic Services Award category.

REVIVE works with people leaving prison and coming out into the community, who screen into the offender personality disorder pathway. They are service users who have complex needs that require an additional layer of support that cannot be provided by probation alone, or other mainstream services.

They have particular difficulties with maintaining life in the community and working collaboratively with probation. The service provides practical, emotional and psychological support for around six months prior to release and for around 12 months post release.

Health Operational Lead for Lancashire OPD Pathway Services, Carrie Best said:

“We are really proud of all of the work that we do in our services and our amazing colleagues that work together to achieve this. This is for all our teams and forensic community services, we’re so proud of the support and services we provide.”
