The Treatment Room Service is available to provide a wide range of clinical interventions to support individuals with their health care needs.
The service works closely with GPs, practice nurses, podiatrists and district nurses.
Treatment includes
- Routine blood tests (Blackburn with Darwen only walk in clinic, no appointment needed, age 15 and upwards only)
- Urgent blood tests (Blackburn with Darwen only, walk in but must be stipulated on the form that test is urgent)
- 24 hour Blood Pressure monitoring (Blackburn with Darwen only, appointment needed)
- Wound assessment and management (appointment needed)
- Ear irrigation and micro-suction (appointment needed)
- Leg ulcer and vascular service (appointment needed)
- Routine ECGs (Blackburn with Darwen only, appointment needed)
- Urgent ECGs (Blackburn with Darwen only, walk in but must be stipulated on the form that the test is urgent)
- Non-serious injuries (Blackburn with Darwen only, walk in and must be over the age of 1 year, injury needs to be less than 48 hours old and not previously seen by GP/Urgent Care)
- Paediatric blood tests (Blackburn with Darwen only, appointment only must be over the age of 5 years).
