A new cultural programme is offering local people the chance to explore, imagine and share tales of living with mental health challenges across Lancashire, in the past and today.

We honoured our apprentices with a celebration event in recognition of National Apprenticeship Week.

A refurbished ward has opened its doors to welcome older adult female patients. Skylark, based at Royal Preston Hospital and run and managed by colleagues from Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCft), was officially opened by Interim CEO Chris Oliver on Monday (February 6th) at a special ceremony attended by staff and families of those receiving care on the ward.

Children are being taught resilience in primary schools this Children’s Mental Health Week thanks to our staff at the Trust.

Throughout February we will be embarking on an inclusivity journey as we celebrate LGBT+ History Month with a calendar of events open to all staff, partners, service users and local communities, created by our LGBTQ+ Network. 

Following a competitive process, we’re pleased to announce that we have appointed three new Non-Executive Directors who will join our Trust Board.

In preparation for the opening of our newly refurbished in-patient acute ward at Royal Preston Hospital in February, the Skylark team are hosting two events, welcoming staff, the community and carers to come and have a look around and ask questions.

We are encouraging staff, service users and the public to speak up and ask for support this ‘Blue Monday’.
